ADN's 10 Years of Solidarity Building

This milestone not only acknowledges a decade of unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights in Asia but also serves as a testament to the enduring struggle for democratic values in our region. The assembly will celebrate the progress and the collective determination to continue fostering democratic movements.

Assembly Day 1 will be dedicated to reflection, finding inspiration, and discovering relevant responses to challenges, drawing upon the accumulated wisdom of a decade of advocacy. It's a day to honor the journey and reflect on the path ahead. Participants will engage in insightful discussions, share experiences, and seek inspiration to fortify their commitment to democracy in Asia.

Assembly Day 2 will focus on enhancing consolidation through strategic building, where attendees work collaboratively to chart the future course of democracy in Asia. Through the RISETalks and RISEHuddles, this day will serve as the culmination of collective wisdom and innovative ideas generated throughout the assembly. It's an opportunity for participants to engage in strategic planning, forge partnerships, and lay the groundwork for sustained democracy movements in the region.

RISEHuddles

RISEHuddles are interactive breakout sessions where participants collaboratively address vital democracy-related issues. These sessions offer a platform for in-depth discussions, enabling attendees to formulate action plans and strategies to advance and protect democracy in Asia.

Thematic Sessions

These sessions delve into the core issues shaping democracy in Asia, tackling transnational repression, disinformation, anti-democratic influences, corruption, and more. Representatives from thematic discussions before the assembly will present critical highlights, concerns, agreements, and calls for action, bringing attention to the pressing issues that demand our collective attention and action. These sessions serve as a vital forum for deepening our understanding and forging strategies to promote and defend democracy in the region. Join us in these dynamic conversations to be part of the change Asia's democracies need.

Module 6
Pre-Assembly Events
Youth Leadership Program (Nov. 14-20)

Our journey begins with an intensive 5-day training program for youth. Held in Thailand, this event empowers young leaders with knowledge of human rights, nurtures their leadership skills, and fosters solidarity among youth activists. It also provides a unique opportunity for engagement with Myanmar's youth living in exile, strengthening bonds and shared purpose.
